The Tradition Club

with Kevin Conneff, Paul McGrattan & Gilles le Bigot

The line-up features multi grammy award winner Kevin Conneff of The Chieftains on vocals and bodhrán, Dubliner Paul McGrattan (The Frost is all over, Keelwest, Beginish) on flute, Dundalk maestro Gerry O'Connor on fiddle (Lá Lugh, Skylark, Journeyman) and Breton guitar virtuoso Gilles le Bigot (Skolvan, Barzaz, Empreintes) on guitar and tambura.

The Band's repertoire comprises traditional music and song from Ireland and Brittany with some Scottish material added for good measure.

"The Tradition Club" , based in Slattery's bar, Capel Street Dublin, was the mecca for Traditional music lovers during the 1970's and 80's. Paul, Kevin and Gerry spent many nights both as performers and also as listeners here in the company of Ireland's finest musicians and singers.

Whilst juggling with the busy individual touring schedules, the band are currently recording on their debut album,

Suitable for Festival and large concert work in Ireland, subject to Chieftain commitments. Recording an album at present.
